“We have no issues with staff competitiveness or territorialism,” said Nicole Gillick, co-owner. “We all work together. If someone is running late, someone else steps in to help. We all greet, talk to, consult, compliment, and get to know every guest with the idea of being able to accommodate this person whenever is best for them, not just when one particular stylist is available.”
Blu offers its staff the industry’s premier education including an assistants training program, regular in-salon instruction and frequent trips to gather inspiration in locations such as, New York City, New Orleans and LA .
“We believe you should never stop learning,” Gillick said. “Every day is about education. We share ideas and tips, but mostly we share a passion for our industry and guest experiences.”
